PETG 3D printer filament (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is one of the most commonly used polymers today. It is also used in the manufacture of food packaging, water bottles and many other common plastic items. PETG filament has proven its worth as a durable material that is easy to use. Figuratively speaking, it combines the most useful characteristics of ABS filament with the ease of printing that PLA filament affords.

PETG features:
  • Higher strength
  • Lower shrinkage
  • Combines good strength with ductility, making it a good material for mechanical parts
  • Good chemical resistance
  • Contains UV absorber
  • Good hydrophobicity (does not absorb water easily)

SA Filament PETG has the following characteristics:

  • Print Temperature: 235 – 255°C, dependent on printer model
  • Heat Bed temperature: 65 – 85°C
  • 1Kg net weight
  • Accurate diameter of 1.75mm with a tolerance of ± 0.05mm
  • Spool Size: diameter 200mm, inner hub 58mm & Width 55mm
  • Vacuum Sealed

Great filament, but will take some time to get used to.

The filament looks great and I've managed to get relatively good results. I did experience some blobbing and stringing on my first print or two, but this has improved with some tweaks (this is my first change from PLA to PETG).

5 Stars

0.6mm Nozzle, 245 deg nozzle, 80 deg glass bed, 80mm p/s 0.24mm layer height - Exceptional finish so far the best and easiest PETG to print.

Zero ooze, Zero Blobs and Zero pops for filament being out in the open for an excessive period of time in a highly moist environment

Not again

i will not buy this product again. i have been using E-sun and Wanho PETG for more than 2 years with little or no problems. This South african material does not work. blobs, head clogs, pops etc. tried various temperatures, print speeds etc. Have gone back to E-Sun.
