The new generation of MKS controllers does not require uploading firmware multiple times to make changes to the configuration until the error disappears. A printer can be completely setup from flashing firmware via an SD card and fine tuning settings inside the printer or by changing settings in a configuration file.

The standard Marlin 2.0  can be used or the MKS Branch which has a basic setup.

Please note that sensorless homing is not supported.

Easy Install

Well worth the effort to work out. If you can work with a Ramps board, you will easily work this one out. Set up in marlin.

Worth the perseverance

Having now brought two of these kits, I have managed to change my Ramps to the Robin Nano for my CNC machine. I managed to set up Router depth touch pad, external drivers etc using the classic configuration in Marlin, then once I had it working, changed to the Graphics interface in Marlin, and everything was there and worked. It did get a bit frustrating, and the Manufacturers could not help as they have no experience as a CNC application. The end result is well worth the learning curve. Recommended.

Flexible and easy to work with.

what a pleasure to be able to adjust settings and parameters via the touch screen rather than having to dismantle a machine to get to the board to program it. all settings done via touch screen. Saved hours in setting up a new build.
